Teenage Substance Abuse
Can you think of a book you like to read?
I like books about family drama, and romance, that sort of thing. I am a teenage girl, so no ancient literature. And im not really into fantasy. Here are some of the topics im interested in reading about: Over protective brothers, never I can find a book about this and i really want to read one! Child custody / divorce adolescent substance or Alcohol Abuse or bulimia familys romance brothers haa cut the large families, i dont know! As you can see, im dramatic books. Someone, anyone, HELP ME?
I think they'll like Homecoming, by Cynthia Voigt. (And the sequel, Dicey's Song). These four brothers whose mother abandons his car in the parking lot of a shopping mall (not a spoiler, which occurs in about the second page of book.) The oldest, Dicey (who is a girl), takes charge and tries to keep the family well fed, as a whole and on the road to a permanent home. This situation quite dramatic, but still complex and realistic – not the kind of book where everyone is good or bad, and everything is obvious.
