Alcohol Facilities

What do I have to do to sell alcohol in my facility without restricting the age of the people allowed in?
I want to open up a live music venue, and I want to sell alcohol because it has great profitability. However, I do not want to put an age restriction on the venue. Is there special licensing that I need? How do I go about this? Any tips are helpful. Thanks.
I’m not sure about the US rules, but in Canada unless you open a restaurant you can’t allow minors into a facility that sells alcohol (like bars and lounges and things). As long as you want to sell liquor you will need a liquor license, and you are going to have a hard time getting one if you let minors in.
Also be aware that lots of times the health department will send in underage decoys, and if your bartender gets caught selling liquor to a minor, especially without ID’ing him, you will be slapped with a $10,000 fine for a first offense, $25,000 for a second offense, and by the third offense they flat out shut you down. Local laws will be different everywhere though, so I’d call the health department or your local city hall (business license department) and ask.
