What do I do with an alcoholic boyfriend?
When me and my boyfriend met two years ago, both are alcoholics. After that, I my best effort to change, and now I'm sober. But my boyfriend is still an alcoholic so far. I want change like me, but continues: "You I met an alcoholic agree with me "or" OK to me than I am. "I love you and accept it for what it is, but I also want to be a better person. What will I do?
Your boyfriend has a point. Do not mention anything negative about his drinking than labeling him as an alcoholic. To the say you want him to be a better person it sounds like it came from someone who has gained control of his own life and now wants to have a go at everyone else. The real question we need to focus is: "Is your drinking actively affect our relationship in a negative way, or want to stop because I did"?
