Why substance abuse programs that everyone is an addict, even those who have never used drugs?
I met a woman who ran a substance abuse program, and she always tell anyone (even those who had not asked) that "all people are addicted, it's just that some have not started using yet. "How can you be addicted to a substance that has never entered into his body? It makes no sense to me, and I I do not think, but I want to know why this is what the people of substance abuse recovery are teaching. (This woman also said "I do not want" is not a valid reason for not doing drugs. Does not it make sense that if you choose to start, you never have to worry about quitting?)
Indeed, because we are all addicted to a practice or a habit, not necessarily drugs, narcotics, alcohol, women and gambling. We are creatures of habit so we are all addicts. "I do not want" is not a "valid" reason for anything cuz that is not a reason. it is more about withdrawal from a answer for their lack of intellectual reasoning. if given a reason as "because I know that their adverse effects on me and my family" type of responses, reinforcing its statement to stay away from him cousin fully understand its bad effects. but its all semantics and how they choose to understand it.
