Residential Treatment Facility
"I can never going to stop cutting?

I have been shrinking for seven years. You have reached the point where I'm getting points all the time and I'm cutting tendons from cutting too deep. I have tried many different types of teatment. I have seen many therapists and shrinks, I have done group therapy, CBT, DBT, lived in a residential treatment center for two years, has been hospitalized numerous times and tried to do a job on my own. I really want / need to stop but when that urge hits, I can only wait so long before they get overwhelming and I give in. What's left for me to try?

I would say that since has taken a good step. Be honest and forthright about any mental health problem shows that we have overcome the stigma attached to it and that you are really looking for help. If you are at the point where they are cutting the tendons, which are also at the point where it cut a major blood vessel is possible. This only makes underscore the urgency. It would take the desire that you have shown to help yourself and try some of the treatments is used to receive again. An RTF can be a tool useful in a situation like this. Not only can they help monitor medications, and help lead a dignified life, productive, but also means that someone is there to help you hurt so bad. I suggest that when investigating a new one as soon as possible. Also, since you seem to be reaching his hand for help, you may find it useful to take that energy and apply it to the inside. Is there a past issue (trauma, crisis) has not worked through of? What is the cause of his desire to hurt? In short: after reading your question, I have the feeling they really need and want, help. The fact that you are a potential threat to itself, even if you do not want to be, means you need to find some services and get some professional help. You deserves to live a life not having to deal with this problem, and I think you have the strength and determination to overcome it. Just find the right treatment facility, and you can not, at any time, give up hope.
