My friend says it's OK to try illegal drugs, provided they do not use it continuously. This is the reason I kept on persuading me blow something of marijuana. However, I told him that a small amount of illegal substance would be very harmful to the body. Moreover, it will lead to a bigger problem and greater addiction. I convince my friend with factual information, but I'm not so sure about the stages of substance use. Can you help me?
Everything begins with curiosity. An individual is happy to use something that is different for him, or maybe it's influenced by their peers. It will seek ways to meet this curiosity, try taking illegal substances. The curiosity then level up to experimentation. Research shows that experimentation is often caused by issues such as financial and family problems. I think the individual substance use is a way to solve their problems. It could also be a way to temporarily escape the difficulties he feels. After a series of drug use in the experimental stage, the person who eventually become addicted. May not be able to stop this by yourself especially if you've developed a strong dependence on him.
