Former center Miami Heat star Alonzo Mourning and current Dwayne Wade's Heat have teamed up to help raise money for the citizens out by the devastating earthquake that recently hit Haiti the week past. So far, through donations from star athletes such as Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Michael Beasley, Kevin Durant and Chris Paul have been raised over $ 800,000 and is looking to raise more.

Although Lebron James announced last year during the contest dunk that put his name on this year, only officially announced he would not compete this year. College Basketball News
After taking the number one in Kansas this week the Texas Longhorns have been dethroned by the ninth Kansas State Wildcats classified. In what is supposed to be a battle of big men that someone forgot to relay that to the Longhorns whose team combined for an unfortunate 36% shooting from the field and a terrible 9 of 22 from the foul line. Although the Wildcats did not shoot much better from the field, were able to hit 20 of his 32 shots are free in the way to a 71-62 victory at home.
In other news the fifth top 25 ranked Syracuse Orange were able to seize an annoying Notre Dame who lived up to its name Irish struggle in a close game. Although the result was 84-71 the game was much closer than it seems. Ireland received good start Tim Ambromaitis 26 points, 15 assists Tory Jackson and All-American candidate who Harongody Lucas finished with 31 points and 14 rebounds. However, the orange was for both, at the end thanks to the depth of his team were able to survive Notre Dame in the end to move to an impressive 16-1 overall record and 5-1 in the Big East.
Basketball's College
The University of Connecticut women's national basketball Huskies improved to an impressive 18-0 record this year. The Lady Huskies are in a game of 57 consecutive victories and seventh ranked Duke dominated only easy to win 81-48. Seemed close at halftime with the Huskies for only ten points, but the second half was much more to the duke, who seemed overwhelmed playing against arguably the best ever women's team in college basketball history.

While it has not yet been confirmed but the word is that the greatest golfer in the world is Tiger Woods in a sex rehab clinic. Woods, feel that life separate Thanksgiving night when he crashed his car which brought the world from finding out he was cheating on his wife with many women throughout the country. Now Woods is reportedly receiving treatment at a rehabilitation center for sex called Grove of Mental Health and Addiction Services in Mississippi. From the first Woods incident occurred has been in hiding and hopefully no treatment that he is working on what helps solve problems in your life.

The Buffalo Bills today announced that former head coach Chan Gailey the Dallas Cowboys would be leading his team in the 2010 season. Gailey is of bills with an excellent training fund in 11 of his 15 seasons prior to their NFL Gailey led the team to the playoffs, and he has also coached in 4 different Super Bowls.

Former Major League All-Star Jose Offerman was ejected from a playoff game in the Dominican Republic for punching a referee. Offerman who is managing the Tigers of Licey was arguing a call with a referee when he got into a heated conversation verbal with another referee that led to punching the referee Offerman in the neck. After the altercation Offerman was later arrested and taken into custody. Later Dominican Winter League announced that Offerman has been banned from participating in any way with the league.
Boston Red Sox have just given closer Jonathan Papelbon one more year to prove that it really wants to be the closest in the future. Papelbon deal worth reported $ 9,350,000. Since 2006, Papelbon has become 89% of its stores.
