Drug Treatment Nyc

When smokers quit smoking they think they’ll have a bad time having to deal with cravings. This is not true in all cases. If you thought that would happen to you then read all of this article to find out how to avoid cravings altogether.
What is a craving? Some people think that it’s a physical response to a drug leaving your body’s system. Wikipedia describes it as, “a psychological urge to administer a discontinued medication or recreational drug.” And it is sometimes used in conjunction with the term withdrawal. But in my definition, withdrawal is physical, not psychological.
So cravings can be thought of as the missing of some behavior. It is the result of a thought that pops into your mind. And that thought then stimulates resulting feelings and related thoughts. And a desire to do something. In this case, smoke a cigarette.
It has been said that nicotine is gone from the body after 3 days of stopping it’s intake. So there should be no physical need for nicotine if you have been without cigarettes for over 3 days. We can acknowledge that any cravings at this point are purely psychological.
And since they are the result of your mind and the associations that were created with smoking you can learn new associations that can result in the same responses. For example, you are probably aware of different experiences that give you the same or similar feelings.
If you have ever went to see a movie that was so good that you got lost in the story you have probably experienced some kind of an emotional response to that movie. Let’s say that during a sad moment you welled up with feeling and maybe even shed a tear or two. If you have had that type of experience with a number of different movies, which is common, you know that each of those movies was different and the scenes that caused you to feel sad were different as well. But notice that the resulting feeling was the same.
So we now know that we can have the same or similar feelings to different experiences. How can we use this information to help us with our cravings? We can learn how to change how we feel in response to outside stimuli.
Let’s say cigarettes relaxed you. Start to build the state of relaxation to some other behavior. Taking a deep breath would be a good behavior to feel relaxed with. By taking a deep breath in and exhaling slowly you can start to feel that relaxing feeling. The same exact feeling that you used to get by smoking. And as you practice that behavior along with that relaxed response you are replacing smoking with breathing to get the response you want.
So this is the way to start to build a new library of responses. Take all the old feelings that you used to feel when you smoked, and start to connect them to healthier behaviors. When you use mind/body techniques like hypnosis to quit smoking you can quickly train your body to feel good whenever you want. And with this type of freedom you will not have to feel any of those cravings that so many smokers feel when they quit smoking cigarettes.
And I invite you to learn how to use hypnosis to quit smoking for free. All the information you need to regain control is in my free ebook, stop smoking hypnotherapy. There are techniques that could help you to use self hypnosis to stop smoking on your own. It’s available at HypnoticState.com.
It’s the same information that was published in the book I co-wrote, Real World Hypnosis, Insider Tips From Leading Hypnotists, that’s for sale on Amazon, Barnes and Noble, and other booksellers.
What do you have against Obama’s proposed change to the drug laws?
his speech last week in NYC at Cooper Union Obama said that he would seek to make all drug crimes non-felonies and impose treatment in lieu of prison. Would these rules be applied retroactively? How soon do you think it would take him to clear out the prisons. He has voted in the past for reestablishing full citizenship rights including the right to vote to convicted felons. Would these newly released prisoners then represent his single biggest constituency (right after affluent college kids)? Do you think his own experiences in the drug world as a young man bear on his zeal to remove the stigma of drugs from the criminal justice system? Can we ask for more as a society…that the president would care this much about even the very lowest and most down and out in our society with such compassion? What a guy.
Understanding the cocept of irony requires at least a 7th grade education. I wonder what the average yahoo board IQ is. and I deny any payments from the Clinton campaign.

28 Days (Special Edition) $3.47 To appreciate 28 Days, it’s best to be thankful that director Betty Thomas hasn’t forced Sandra Bullock into a remake of Clean and Sober. Instead Thomas has balanced her comedic sensibility (evident in Dr. Dolittle and Private Parts) with the seriousness of alcoholism and substance abuse, and she succeeds without compromising the gravity of the subject matter. Some critics have scoffed at the mov… |
