Strenuous physical activities can wipe out the remains of toxins left behind in the body by drug abuse. These toxins control the receptors in the brain and never let anyone escape unless they are expunged effectively. Meditation, equine medicine, acupuncture etc are found to be excellent de-stressing agents.
Some addicts have been found to go back into addiction due to lack of after care. So always look for rehab centres that offer after discharge counselling, otherwise all your efforts for gaining sobriety would be lost in a trice.

PCOS And taking Metformin weight loss?
I was recently informed that I have PCOS (Poly cycstic Ovary Syndrom) And was perscribed birth control and a medication for my high insulin Metformin. I am about 50 lbs over weight, I was told that I would lose a good ammount of weight just from the Metformin (Insulin drug)….Has anyone had such effectiveness from this treatment???
Oh, I know it does not excuse proper eating and exercise. But I don’t over eat to begin with. I am not hoping for all the weight to just fall off, but the PCOS is what caused my weight gain to begine with….almost 80 lbs in a year! I have been thin my whole life…I just was hoping that with this new medication, it could be a starting ground for weight loss….I was hoping for about 20lbs….Thats what my indocranologist said….
It does help some but it will not cause you to lose huge amounts of weight, I lost about 10lbs in a couple of months. You have to stay on it. Metformin is not insulin and does not work like insulin. Metformin works in the stomach, and slows digestion or at least slows the sugars going into the blood stream.
