When to Make a Long-Term Committment at a Private Drug Treatment Center

Private drug Treatment Centers are known for their high quality treatment and their commitment to ensure that the person gets the best possible treatment.  Since the amenities and treatment are offered top-class catering to an up-market clientele, it is natural that the costs are on the higher side. But the treatment is the most effective one, private rehabs are known to have very low rates of relapse among patients which make it a preferable choice for many. There are now easy financing options that make it convenient for people to stay afloat while making payment and not be drowned in debt or dig into their savings to fund for the treatment. The other characteristic that private drug treatment centers are known for are their long-term commitment to addiction treatment.

If you are opting for a Long Term Drug Treatment, you have to know that the treatment will be residential in nature, which means the person will be away from his home and possibly out of work for more than 2 months or so. However the bright spot is that the prolonged treatment will be a good exercise in not only treating addiction fully but also making sure that there is no scope for relapse.  For the person who is suffering from a serious drug problem, a long term treatment program is obviously recommended because it is intensive and comprehensive in nature.  If you are concerned about the money factor, be rest assured because insurance companies are likely to pay because the person is hospitalized and the treatment is long-term.

People who usually check in for long term drug treatment options are the ones who have completely lost their zest for life and are far into the addiction.  It has been observed that people who are into dual addiction of smoking and an illegal drug or those who have a combination of prescription drugs, or even those who are into taking crack cocaine, heroin and Methadone should check into for long-term therapy because they are fast-acting and debilitating drugs that can really harm a person’s health.  So it is essential to make go for a treatment option that covers all forms of treatment and ensure not just speedy recovery but complete and total sobriety.

The aftercare support is also one of the reasons why private drug treatment centers are synonymous for their long-term treatment. In order to make sure that the patient graduates properly from the treatment and transitions into a sober life properly without any hassle, there is a thing in place known as ‘after-care treatment’ This form of treatment has enough training and support in the form of individual counseling, motivational tips, crisis handling and lot of tips on how to identify and prevent triggers that can tempt a person into addiction.  Since drug addiction can be cyclical, private long-term treatment can go as long way in making the person stay in a system that makes sure that he or she stays grounded and sober, getting high on life rather than drugs.

can you get your court orders modified by writing to the judge?

I was court ordered when I was 2 months pregnant to do ua’s twice a week until baby is born to ensure I am not using drugs. I complied and also completed treatment and aftercare. Baby was born Aug 27, 2008 and I continued in support groups and continued doing ua’s twice weekly. Probation claims that I must continue ua’s twice weekly because it was court ordered. Now its been close to 1 year that i’ve been submitting ua’s twice weekly. All of them have been clean. Its costing me anywhere from $125-$200 a month just for the ua’s. Not to mention its an hour and a half drive round trip twice a week plus gas. Would writing to the judge asking to modify court order help me??? maybe asking to do ua’s twice a month or something. I’ve done everything I was supposed to do? I don’t see why I have to continue doing this til the end of my probation.

Your PO is right, they can’t change the order if a judge made it, only the judge. There is a formal process of having your probation changed, in the states, it’s called a motion to modify in most states. Your PO should be able to do it for you, but if they won’t I suggest you talk with legal aid. It’s not hard to do, but it could get thrown out if it’s not properly written out. If there is no legal aid and you can’t afford an attorney (and a lawyer would probably charge just $150 to do it) still cheaper than paying for the u/a’s a letter to the judge might be enough

When a Man Loves a Woman

When a Man Loves a Woman

$2.89

When a Man Loves a Woman is a dumb title (not another classic pop song, please) for a very smart movie. A kind of gender-switch take on The Lost Weekend, it’s about a woman (Meg Ryan) whose alcoholism almost destroys her family. That may sound like just another TV movie, but When a Man Loves a Woman is so authentic in detail and emotion, that everything about it seems fresh, urgent, and engrossing…

28 Days (Special Edition)

$2.93

To appreciate 28 Days, it’s best to be thankful that director Betty Thomas hasn’t forced Sandra Bullock into a remake of Clean and Sober. Instead Thomas has balanced her comedic sensibility (evident in Dr. Dolittle and Private Parts) with the seriousness of alcoholism and substance abuse, and she succeeds without compromising the gravity of the subject matter. Some critics have scoffed at the mov…
