My 15 year old son has a class A misdemeanor. What I can expect at the hearing?
I live in Texas. My son is 15 years old, was visiting his mother (my ex-wife) in a fight with his stepfather. Police were called who accused him of Assault (some family). Is it possible they could put in some kind of jail facilities? He is a very angry person who is also experimenting with drugs. His mother had come to live with me a year ago and do not seem better. Maybe jail would do him good. In high school he has received numerous entries for bad behavior. He was sent to a school alterantive being under the influence of the school. Do all that make a difference to the judge? wondering if I should bring that information to court with me? You need lots of help and I really I do not know what to do. I have no money to pay for one of those places nice guy rehabilitation ranch for teenagers. Any suggestions? make it serve any time? Thanks !!!!!!
That may well serve time in a juvenile facility, depending on the severity of the assault was. If you go to court and bring your evidence what he is a child in need of services, and ask the judge to support his tough love that the judge will review the options available to him. I do not know how good the facilities availabe in Texas, but you have to deal every time you have a chance. Have you ever had a psychological eval to get to the bottom of the anger issues?
