Drug Rehab Nurse
how hard is is to get a nursing job under these circumstances?
have a masters degree, research experience abroad, and good grades and recommendations
BUT
in the past have been to rehab multiple times and you have 1 felony drug charge and some other minor drug charges. and also have been charged with truancy in high school.
You should check with your states nursing board. In many states, including the one where I live, even juvenile records must be detailed on your application for a nursing license. You even have to reveal any arrests, whether you were charged or not. In the state where I live the felony drug charge would prevent them from even getting a nursing license, much less a job.
If the state where they live is not as strict as mine, I still think a drug related charge would prevent them from getting work in nursing. Sorry to say that, it sounds like they are trying to get their life together.
