Drug Rehab Louisiana
what are the options ? in reference to drug user?
My niece is 25 has been in rehab 4 times in two years, has no custody of her 2 kids(thank god) , signs herself out of rehab or just plain sneaks out.Is a cocaine and meth user and has now turned to prostitution. Has gone from 135 to 90 pounds. Is there anything legally a parent can do, since this would be her next of kin ? Can she be committed to prevent herself from harm ? Shes also tried suicide three weeks ago be slashing her wrists.She Lives in Louisiana, so the laws here have to apply.Any serious suggestions that are full proof and keeps her in rehab or a hospital ?
Slashing her wrists is a clear sign that she is a danger to herself. Still, it is an uphill battle to have someone involuntarily committed.
