Drug Addiction Recovery

Addiction Recovery?
My ex husband has a problem of drug addiction. Have you been to numerous Rehabilitation Centers including a base Christian. I would like us to get back together but it seems to want or try to change. One of the things that I rehabilitation and places have said "Change your mind change your life "When you watch TV you see things that I think your mind does not improve at all." Cops "and other programs where people always drug bursts. Recently, one saying how truck drivers transporting marijuana and cocaine. I say it is not necessary to see things like that .. only put your mind on drugs. He seems to think I'm crazy and that it does not, affect him however, tries to sneak and watch it. Are there any directors or ex-addicts out there who agree with me. When the mind goes the man is? I think he should hear and see uplifting positive agendas. Thanks for your input.
If your ex-spouse has an addiction, then its your problem. One we got in and only he can get out of himself. He does not need the excuse of television programs inappropriate for use, that is a decision it will do for your account. Your choice of programs is yours, and personally, I prefer to see someone watching a program on drugs to make them. And should not have to sneak away to watch TV, he is a grown man. You're just being misleading teaching that need to be near you. Watching television is a form of is apart from a reality for a while. Addicts as to dissociate. Its relatively harmless compared to active addiction. Of course, it would be nice to see you spend your time going a meeting and socializing with other recovering addicts like-minded. But he has to make that decision and re-prioritize their recovery over their choice of entertainment. And it need not be in any intense personal relationship as he gets his recovery on track. He is not good for anyone until it is good for himself. And the best that I can give is support as a friend to recover without the pressure of a personal relationship with browse through it while learning to live without drugs / alcohol.
