Gospel references to drugs and substance abuse?
Hi I have a colleague who is trying to do an essay as such – in search of Christian messages regarding the use of drugs (to be aimed at young people) references?
2 Corinthians 7: 1 says "Therefore, since we have these promises sacred, loved ones, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. This refers to all drugs, snuff products, other substances such as glue and misuse of drinking excess alcohol. Another relates to our worship,''You should worship the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all thy mind and with all your strength.''Mark 12: 30. You can not do if you take prescription medications for pleasure call or anything else that adversely affects the mind and body. Hope this helps, see also the note below. I worked to support and advice drug addicts and alcoholics, have destroyed both mentally and physically, if you know of any that do not even think about flirting with these things to persuade them not to, report them if they are, they'll hate you for it, but thanks to the final.
