Alcohol And Drug Abuse

The  issue of alcohol and drug abuse is one big  issue in our society  nowadays. The  trouble cuts across all ages and sex. But it is  abundant among the teenagers and young ones. It is one  issue that  several concerned government and non-profit or government organization are trying their best to resolve.

But it is  sad to note that they are not  getting much success. I believe the  solution lies in dealing with the origin of the  trouble. This means that parents, guardians and the government need to wake up to their responsibilities.

One of the  several causes of alcohol and drug abuse is peer pressure. This is not limited to only the teenagers. Many adults simply take to drugs and alcoholic drinks because of pressure from friends. For the teenagers, the parents need to  ensure that their young ones do not have bad friends. This means that you need to monitor the kind of friends your child moves or plays with.

Another thing that can lead someone to this  trouble is curiosity. Many alcohol and drug addicts out there confess that their curiosity led them into it. They only wanted to know how it feels to take them and before they know, they have been hooked. Parents must try their best to guide the curiosity of their children. Try and answer their questions. This will keep them from getting answers from addicts out there.

The mass media is another cause of the  trouble. Young people often see adverts in the media portraying these vices as fun. This makes them want to be like their hero who indulges in Drugs And Alcohol. So, parents need to  ensure that their children are educated about the negative aspects.  Also, the government must  check that media houses are closely monitored.

The  end result of alcohol and drug abuse is very  distressing. Many families have lost their loved ones. And  several marriages have been broken. Many people have also lost their high paying jobs. You must  make certain that this does not happen to you or a loved one. If you or a loved one is having  trouble with alcohol and drug abuse, it is  critical that you enter a rehab  without delay.

Ras Reed has more free and detailed information like Drug And Alcohol Treatment as well as Alcohol And Drug Treatment on his website.

how can we get yahoo answers to open a new category for drug use questions alternative health is over 1/2 full?

of these questions and many of the people who frequent that section are disgusted and upset over it.

Why can’t they open a category for drugs or is there one we could direct people too.

Drugs tear the body down and alternative health is for healing not answering a bunch of illegal drug questions on how to get high etc.

would yahoo answers do this since they rarely respond back to anyone..maybe they don’t know alternative health section is being abused by these dope fiends.

If the questions are about illegal drugs, you need to report them. Such questions are not allowed on the site. Unfortunately, since this is the case, the YA staff will not make a separate category for these questions, either, since they are NOT allowed. Perhaps if these types of questions were reported (as illegal) enough, the accounts of the people asking them would be suspended — and this might slow them down a bit.
