My parents will not let me go to therapy?
I want to go to therapy for some long-standing issues. I am a 16 years old and have had numerous problems bipolar disorder / depression / anxiety and self injury. I really want to go to counseling, but my parents say that the advice is stupid. The doctor did not prescribe any anxiety or depression medication because my family has a history of drug abuse. She thinks she should seek counseling first, my parents say no. What should I do? I really do not trust the school counselor
Talk to a counselor at school.They can help you find a counselor free and not free to tell your Parents if you want help with counseling.No parents have the right to leave their children for help to feel need.As I encourage young adults to get counseling.I have a daughter, 16 years old, I'm sorry for you.
