Would you let a person who lives suffer rather than use an embryo (destined to be thrown out) to develop a cure?
My sister has multiple sclerosis – the single mother of two girls, a child care alcohol councilman and the best kind (emphasis on "kind) by Christian. However, other Christians to impose their beliefs on the government to fertility treatment embryos center – scheduled to be thrown out – can not be used to help develop a cure for it. She is in her mid-forties. Where is the compassion and the sanctity of life in this decision to block their potential in a cure?
No, I would not. I am a Bible-believing Christian and a scientist. I think stem cell research is as follows area of medical advancement and our best hope for real cure for many diseases. There are other ways of obtaining stem cells, but until they are perfected embryo reasearch is our best hope. The Bible says that God "knit me together in my mother's womb point" no "knit me in a petri dish." It also tells us that has plans for us to prosper and not to fail. I can not imagine a soul of God's dealings with the few cells in a Petri dish that you know is destined to never become a child.
