Most people associate the word "addicted" to alcohol or drugs. The reality is that people can become addicted to any substance or behavior. As a professional organizer, working with many clients who are addicted to these things. How about this? Here are some signs:
 • things happen in a space that leaves room
 • The urgency of the "latest and greatest" is strong
 • Buying used as a kind of therapy
 • Although the disease can disrupt a person, without prejudice to the person enough to stop the purchase of new items
So if you or someone you know is addicted to things, here are three ways to overcome these difficulties.
First, admit you have a problem. Now I know this may sound trite, but true. Nobody can accept help, unless they are ready. As such, a person must recognize they have a problem collecting a lot of material and are ready to help. This assistance takes many forms: family, friends, self-help organizations, and professionals such as therapists, coaches and organizers professionals. Each type of aid comes with advantages and disadvantages. But the important thing is to recognize that there is a problem and using should be obtained. If you can not admit you have a problem that the motivation is not necessary to take action?
Second, take action. The first step may be small or large, but should be only one step. It may come in contact with someone – a friend or a professional – to get help. You can decide not to buy more (either in person, by phone or internet). You can have a "buddy no shopping "to contact when you're tempted to buy. It can be applied to the expected one by one on-which means that whenever you bring a new element in space, you must remove a similar item. Consistency will be key to any action you decide to take.
Third Instead, make substitutions. Smokers often find that chewing gum helps control cravings. If you buy a lot, find something else to do. Instead of going to a store, read a book, exercise or a hobby. blocks of shopping channels on TV or computer. His addiction to things is a reply to something more as such, can not stop the behavior, and must be replaced something else.
Addiction can be powerful. This article highlights some of the ways things to fight against drug addiction. However, like any addiction, addiction is multifaceted and things generally requires action on several different levels. Here are some places to get help:
