Surround yourself with a healthy environment
Being in a healthy environment is vital to our growth and development as human beings. Many of how you feel and how and handle the stress of seeing the world has to do with the place you're living and how you feel about it. For example, a child growing up in the streets of Detroit, Michigan will have a totally different perspective than the child growing up in the well-to-the southern suburbs of Charlotte, North Carolina. For some people, you really have to pick physical life and move somewhere else to live a better existence. I know someone who moved from New York to Wendell, North Carolina because he and his family was too closed and tight in the environment of the city. They wanted the space and land to run and play as well as their own horses, so it seemed North Carolina a great fit for him. And you know what? Today, that person is much happier and more "settled" where he lives today.
It Believe it or not, where you live has a huge impact on their health. The person who lives in the dirty apartment, one bedroom of rats infested in Los Angeles, could be found ill more often than the person living in one bedroom apartment in Georgia that has the same problems. Ultimately, you need to figure out what is best for you and act accordingly. While most of us can not be earning enough money to be increasingly able to own or rent the penthouse apartment on the floor above, we can certainly make the most of our living spaces.
Surrounding yourself with a healthy environment is not always necessarily refer to how clean is something that sometimes refers to much more. For instance, if you or someone you know is recovering from an addiction to drugs or alcohol, you want to ensure that the environment are returning to is conducive to help recover from the grief that you are suffering. So, in other words, the drug addict is unwilling to return to his apartment, where there still may be drug paraphernalia there. All that is going to do is tempt that person to start using again. The same goes for alcohol or food, even!
Both the food and alcohol are easily accessible and readily available and almost certainly inevitable when it comes to going out with friends or relatives. Because of this, we must develop strength of character to say no to ourselves when we are tempted to buy food that is healthy, but alcohol or alcohol or more to eat when we're out with friends. The next time you're in a restaurant with a friend or family member and it is time to order your food, order a smaller portion of food or ask the waiter or waitress to bring a case. Then before lunch, pack foods that are not going to eat at the table to bring before start eating, so you will not be tempted to eat too!
