Alcohol Rehab Michigan

As a concerned parent looking for the best rehab, we often want to know the success rates of those centers that we are considering. This seems like a very logical concern. One that would seemingly help us determine the best centers to choose from for our loved ones. We agree. If these stats were accurate, it would be a good measure as to how good each center is at keeping their client off of drugs or alcohol. The problem is, these numbers are not only accurate. These stats are a false advertising marketing tool at best.

Let’s look at an example. Let’s say we own a rehabilitation center. We have several people that graduate from our rehabilitation program each and every month. Upon leaving our center and returning to their hometown, we set up a plan to stay in communication to assist them in their aftercare. This should and does take place at most good centers in the U.S.. This is where the giant grey area starts to grow.

In order for us (the center) to post our success rate, what do we have to do? Number one, we have to include every single graduate. Otherwise, what is the point. The next thing we have to do is be sure of the information that we are posting is accurate. How do we do this? Do we ask the addict? Their family? Their friends? If so, do we 100%, take their word for it? What other options do we have? The answer is simple, test each and every single person in person. How do we do this? We can’t. Are we going to ask them to fly back to our center and test? No. Are we going to fly to them to test them? No.

So now what do we do? We should be honest with our clients and future clients by telling them that there is no way to track that information accurately and “that is why we don’t post it on our site”.

We hope this not only changes the view of those that are using this information to make an educated decision as to which center might be best for their loved ones, but that of the centers themselves. Truth is the answer. The truth is that the success rate for centers is very low. This is not because the centers are not doing their jobs. It is because people are constantly choosing the wrong rehab center for their particular needs.

I need to find alcohol rehabs in Dewitt, Michigan. How do I do this?

I need to do this for a friend of mine whose alcohol consumption has really gotten way out of hand. I really want to help her, even if it’s just by finding an alcohol rehab for her.

You can look through the phone directory to find a list of alcohol rehabs in your friend’s vicinity. I have also included links below that may be of help to you. Taking your friend to the hospital to have her checked by a doctor would be great too. If you do that, you can also ask the doctor for recommendations. Good luck!

When a Man Loves a Woman

When a Man Loves a Woman

$3.28

When a Man Loves a Woman is a dumb title (not another classic pop song, please) for a very smart movie. A kind of gender-switch take on The Lost Weekend, it’s about a woman (Meg Ryan) whose alcoholism almost destroys her family. That may sound like just another TV movie, but When a Man Loves a Woman is so authentic in detail and emotion, that everything about it seems fresh, urgent, and engrossing…

28 Days (Special Edition)

28 Days (Special Edition)

$3.84

To appreciate 28 Days, it’s best to be thankful that director Betty Thomas hasn’t forced Sandra Bullock into a remake of Clean and Sober. Instead Thomas has balanced her comedic sensibility (evident in Dr. Dolittle and Private Parts) with the seriousness of alcoholism and substance abuse, and she succeeds without compromising the gravity of the subject matter. Some critics have scoffed at the mov…
