The NFL has taken another step in its policy of tightening steroids by adding amphetamines to the list of substances from band 2007.
The amphetamines have been considered a drug of abuse substances, but are now grouped with steroids and are subject to harsher penalties for violations. This season is a year of trial and if an athlete fails a test for amphetamines – Who will receive a warning and placed in a detoxification program.
In 2007, the drug will be regular testing and harsher penalties Violators will be applied for. A first positive test will result in a suspension of four games, the same penalty now given to test positive for steroids. MLB has also started testing for amphetamines this season as part of its policy on steroids.
Also change of amphetamines, the penalty for a second positive test for performance-enhancing drugs is six to eight games. A positive test is yet a third year.
All this builds in recent years, Congressional hearings on drugs in sport. It's good for the NFL and baseball too. Point of contention between trying to follow the HGH – Human Growth Hormone, and all new drugs coming.
There no evidence HGH effect when steroids and create new almost every day. Some players are always looking for shortcuts to gain a competitive advantage as they do, the drugs will be provided to help them achieve their goals.
The NFL and other sports are a decent product employment policies, but must join with the Congress and law enforcement to stop the supply of substances vultures in the first place. Only then that the problem of drugs in sport is played on an equal footing.
It remains an uphill battle because you have a request, there will be a supply. And we have a strong demand in this culture – and not just in athletics, but people from all walks of life are concerned. Drugs are a serious threat to millions of lives and will be defeated through collective cooperation.
The drug problem is a national problem. The sport is just a reflection of the culture flowers in. Only by working together can we hope to solve the problem.

A kind of gender-switch take on The Lost Weekend, it’s about a woman (Meg Ryan) whose alcoholism almost destroys her family. 28 Days (Special Edition) $3.84 To appreciate 28 Days, it’s best to be thankful that director Betty Thomas hasn’t forced Sandra Bullock into a remake of Clean and Sober. Instead Thomas has balanced her comedic sensibility (evident in Dr. Dolittle and Private Parts) with the seriousness of alcoholism and substance abuse, and she succeeds without compromising the gravity of the subject matter. Some critics have scoffed at the mov… |
